Terms of Service
The rules for using MEPCODBill — an independent electricity information site. In short: we publish calculators and guides, we hand you off to the official portal for the real bill, and we never act as MEPCO.
Plain-language summary. This is not the official MEPCO website. We do not collect payments, issue bills, read meters, or settle disputes. Every calculator output is an estimate built from numbers you type in. For anything binding — the amount due, the due date, a disconnection notice — the official bill and MEPCO's own channels are the only authority.
1. Accepting these terms
By using mepcodbill.pk you agree to these terms and to ourPrivacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the site. If you are under 18, use the site with a parent or guardian. These terms apply to every visitor, whether you use a calculator, read a guide, or only enter a reference number.
2. What this service is
MEPCODBill provides exactly three things:
- A reference-number hand-off. You type your 14-digit reference number and your browser opens the official PITC bill page for that number. We do not fetch, copy, cache, or re-render your bill.
- Browser-side calculators. Slab estimates, peak/off-peak splits, appliance running costs, solar sizing, wire sizing and related energy maths. The arithmetic runs in your browser; nothing is sent to us.
- Consumer guides. Plain-language explanations of billing terms, complaint routes, and connection processes.
3. Independence from MEPCO
MEPCODBill is not the official MEPCO website.It is privately operated and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or acting on behalf of Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO), Power Information Technology Company (PITC), WAPDA, NEPRA, or the Government of Pakistan. Those names appear on this site only to identify the organisations we write about, which is nominative use — not a claim of partnership.
4. Permitted use
You may read, print, and share pages for your own personal or household use, and you may link to any page. Teachers, journalists, and consumer advocates may quote short extracts with attribution and a link. Anything beyond that needs written permission.
5. Prohibited use
You agree not to:
- Copy this site to present it as an official utility or government service;
- Scrape, mirror, or bulk-download pages, or run automated requests that degrade the site for others;
- Reverse-engineer our calculators and republish them as certified or official tariff tools;
- Use the reference-number field to probe numbers that are not yours;
- Introduce malware, attempt unauthorised access, or interfere with the site's operation;
- Remove or obscure the independence disclaimers when reusing our content.
6. Calculators are estimates, not bills
Every calculator is an educational planning estimate. Results depend entirely on the units, rates, and assumptions you enter, plus documented default assumptions shown in the "How this estimate works" box on each tool page. They are not official quotes, NEPRA-certified figures, engineering certifications, or binding contracts.
Tariff structures, fuel price adjustments, quarterly adjustments, taxes, and time-of-use windows change by notification, and a calculator cannot know your meter's exact history. Expect a gap between an estimate and a printed bill. For electrical safety decisions — cable sizing, breaker ratings, solar system design, load applications — have a licensed electrician or engineer verify the numbers before you buy or install anything.
7. Third-party portals and links
We link to external services, most importantly the official PITC bill portal at bill.pitc.com.pk. Those sites are controlled by their own operators under their own terms and privacy policies. We cannot guarantee their accuracy, uptime, or security, and we are not responsible for what happens once you leave this site. Verify the amount and due date on the official bill — or with your bank or MEPCO — before paying anything.
8. We take no payments and issue no bills
MEPCODBill never asks for card details, bank credentials, wallet PINs, or CNIC copies, and it has no payment page. If any page appears to request payment or login credentials for a utility, it is not us — close it andreport it. We also do not generate PDF bills, duplicate bills, or payment slips; only the official portal can produce those.
9. Intellectual property and trademarks
The layout, wording, illustrations, and calculator implementations on this site are owned by the publisher and protected by copyright. "MEPCO", "WAPDA", "PITC", and "NEPRA" are the names and marks of their respective owners; we do not use their corporate logos as our brand mark, and our own brand mark is original. If you believe content here infringes your rights, email us with the URL and the specific claim and we will review it promptly.
10. Advertising and funding
The site is free to use and is funded by third-party advertising, including Google AdSense. Advertising pays for hosting; it never buys a change to our independence disclaimers, our calculator formulas, or our editorial conclusions. Ad networks may use cookies and similar technologies — see the Privacy Policy for the detail and your opt-out options. Ads and sponsored units are separate from editorial content and are not endorsements by us.
11. No warranties
The site and its tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We work to keep guidance current and correct errors quickly, but we do not warrant that every figure, rate, or process description is complete or up to date at the moment you read it.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher of MEPCODBill is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of this site. That includes, without limitation:
- Late-payment surcharges or missed due dates, however caused;
- Disconnection or reconnection charges;
- Financial decisions made on the strength of an estimate rather than an official bill;
- Equipment damage or injury from acting on a calculator result without professional verification;
- Downtime or errors on third-party portals we link to.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the site or breach of these terms.
13. Availability and changes to the site
We may add, change, or retire pages and tools at any time, and the site may be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the review date shown on this page, and continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms. If any clause is found unenforceable, the remaining clauses stay in force.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the courts at Multan, Punjab have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. Nothing here limits your statutory rights as a consumer, or your right to pursue a billing complaint with MEPCO or NEPRA — which is the correct route for any billing dispute.
15. Contact
Questions about these terms, corrections, or rights complaints:support@mepcodbill.pk, or use thecontact form. For electricity complaints, meter faults, or billing disputes, contact MEPCO on 0800-63726 or WAPDA on118 — we cannot act on those.
