Frequently Asked Questions

Find comprehensive answers to the most common questions about MEPCO bill check online, duplicate bill download, reference number lookup, due date, payment, and using our portal.

How can I check my MEPCO bill online?

You can perform a MEPCO Bill Check Online instantly by entering your 14-digit reference number in the search bar on our homepage. Our system securely connects to the official database to retrieve your latest D Bill MEPCO, showing the payable amount, due date, and a complete breakdown of your electricity charges. No login or registration is required.

What is a MEPCO duplicate bill?

A MEPCO duplicate bill is an online copy of your printed electricity bill. It helps when the paper bill is lost, delayed, damaged, or needed again for payment record keeping.

Can I check the latest MEPCO bill for Multan online?

Yes. Multan users can check their latest MEPCO bill online by entering the 14-digit reference number from a previous bill. The same method works for other MEPCO service areas in South Punjab.

Where do I find my 14-digit reference number?

Your 14-digit reference number is printed on the top-left or top-right corner of any physical copy of your previous MEPCO electricity bills. It is typically located inside a prominent box above your name and address. Note: You do not need to enter the extra letter (U or R) that sometimes follows the 14 digits into our system.

Can I check my bill by CNIC or Name?

No. Currently, the centralized billing system does not allow users to check their electricity bills using a CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) number, phone number, or name for security and privacy reasons. The only valid method to retrieve a MEPCO duplicate bill online is by using the unique 14-digit reference number assigned to your meter connection.

How do I download or print my bill as a PDF?

Once your bill dashboard loads, you have two options. You can click "Download PDF" to save a digital summary receipt to your device. If you need to print the official bill for bank submission, click the red "View & Print Full Bill" button. This will open the official replica in a new tab, where you can simply press Ctrl + P on your keyboard to print.

What are FPA and TR Surcharges?

FPA (Fuel Price Adjustment): This is a fluctuating charge applied to your bill based on the global cost of crude oil and fuel used for power generation in previous months.

TR (Tariff Rationalization) Surcharge: This represents the difference between the tariff set by NEPRA (National Electric Power Regulatory Authority) and the uniform tariff implemented by the Government of Pakistan to maintain consistent prices across the country.

What should I do if my bill is incorrect?

If you notice an anomaly in your meter reading or billed amount, you should immediately contact the official MEPCO helpline at 118. Alternatively, visit your nearest MEPCO customer service center or subdivision office with a printed copy of your duplicate bill and a clear picture of your current meter reading to request a correction before the due date passes.
