No. Manually turning a non-inverter AC on and off every hour actually consumes more power because the compressor draws a massive surge of electricity to start up each time. It is better to set the thermostat to a comfortable 26°C and let it cycle automatically.
Do refrigerator stabilizers consume electricity?
Yes, older, heavy-coil voltage stabilizers consume a continuous 20 to 50 watts just to remain on. If your area has stable voltage, or if you have modern inverter appliances that tolerate voltage fluctuations, remove the stabilizer.
