Privacy Policy
What is and is not processed when you use MEPCODBill. The short version: we hold no billing database, we set no tracking cookies of our own, and the calculators never send your numbers anywhere.

1. Who is responsible for this site
MEPCODBill (mepcodbill.pk) is published independently by Ahmad Ali, based in Multan, Punjab, Pakistan, who acts as the data controller for the limited processing described below. Privacy questions and requests:support@mepcodbill.pk.
We are not MEPCO, PITC, WAPDA, or NEPRA, and we do not hold your electricity account records. If you want your billing data corrected or erased, that request belongs with MEPCO — see thecomplaint guide.
2. What we collect — and what we do not
This is a static website. It has no user database, no login, and no server-side form handler. Concretely:
- Reference numbers. When you use the lookup, the 14-digit number goes from your browser straight to the official PITC portal. It does not pass through a server of ours, and we never see the bill that comes back.
- Calculator inputs. Units, wattages, rates, and roof sizes are computed in your browser's memory and discarded when you close the tab. Nothing is uploaded.
- Contact messages. The contact form opens your mail app with a pre-filled message to support@mepcodbill.pk. Nothing is submitted to this site. Once you send it, we hold that email — your name, address, and whatever you wrote — in our mailbox.
- What we never ask for: passwords, card or bank details, wallet PINs, CNIC scans, or meter photographs. Please do not email them either.
3. Cookies and browser storage
We set no first-party tracking or analytics cookies. We use twolocalStorage entries for convenience features you can see on screen, and our advertising partner may set its own cookies. Here is the complete list:

The savedBills list never leaves your device — it is not transmitted to us and we have no way to read it. It is per-browser and per-device, so it does not follow you to another phone. Clear it any time with "Forget saved numbers" under the lookup box on the home page, or by clearing site data in your browser settings. Doing so also removes cookieConsent, which means the notice will appear once more.
4. Server logs
Like any site, MEPCODBill is served by a hosting provider that keeps standard access logs — IP address, user agent, timestamp, requested page, and referrer — for delivery, security, and abuse prevention. Those logs are generated and retained by the host under its own policy; we do not combine them with any other data, use them to build profiles, or try to identify individual visitors.
5. Advertising
Hosting is funded by third-party advertising, including Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and device identifiers to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

6. Third-party sites
This policy covers mepcodbill.pk only. When you continue to the official PITC bill portal, a bank's payment page, or any other linked site, you are subject to that operator's privacy policy and cookie practices. Read theirs before entering personal or payment details.
7. How long we keep things
- Browser storage: stays on your device until you clear it. We hold no copy.
- Emails you send us: kept while we deal with your query and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records, then deleted. Ask us to delete yours sooner and we will.
- Reference numbers and calculator inputs: never stored by us at all, so there is nothing to retain.
8. Your rights
For the limited personal data we actually hold — essentially the emails you choose to send us — you can ask us to:
- Access a copy of it;
- Correct anything inaccurate;
- Erase it;
- Restrict or object to our use of it;
- Receive it in a portable form;
- Withdraw consent at any time, including by clearing your browser storage.
Email support@mepcodbill.pk and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your national data protection authority. We do not sell personal data, and we do not run cross-site advertising profiles ourselves.
9. Children
This site is aimed at bill-paying adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
The site is hosted on infrastructure that may be located outside Pakistan, and our email and advertising providers operate globally. Where personal data crosses borders, it is handled under those providers' own safeguards and privacy terms.
11. Changes and consent
We update this policy when the site's behaviour changes — for example if a new browser storage key is added. The review date above always reflects the current version, and the storage table is kept in step with what the code actually does.
